WHY THESE NUMBERS MATTER

The scale only tells you how much you weigh. Your InBody scan tells you what your weight is made of and how your body is functioning beneath the surface.

Percent Body Fat

Two people can weigh the exact same amount and have completely different body compositions. Body fat percentage gives a much clearer picture of metabolic health, fitness level, and progress than BMI alone. As you build muscle and lose fat, the scale may barely move while your body composition changes dramatically.

Skeletal Muscle Mass

Muscle is your body's metabolic engine. Higher muscle mass is associated with better blood sugar regulation, improved mobility, increased calorie burn, and healthier aging. Tracking muscle helps ensure weight loss comes from fat, not valuable lean tissue.

Leg Muscle Level

Your legs contain some of the largest muscles in the body and are strongly linked to longevity, independence, balance, and fall prevention as we age. Research consistently shows that maintaining lower body muscle is one of the best predictors of healthy aging and physical resilience.

Visceral Fat Level

Not all fat is created equal. Visceral fat surrounds your organs and is associated with increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction. You may not be able to see it, which makes measuring it even more important.

Waist-to-Hip Ratio

Where you carry body fat matters. Excess abdominal fat is associated with higher cardiometabolic risk, even in people who have a "normal" body weight.

Soft Lean Mass

This measures the amount of lean tissue throughout your body, including muscle and body water. It helps identify whether weight changes are coming from healthy tissue or unwanted loss of muscle.

Left/Right Upper & Lower Body Balance

Muscle imbalances can contribute to pain, compensation patterns, reduced athletic performance, and increased injury risk. Knowing where imbalances exist allows you to train more intentionally and monitor recovery after injury.

InBody Score

Think of this as your body's report card. It combines multiple measurements to give an overall snapshot of your body composition and provides an easy way to track progress over time.

Body Type Analysis

Your body type category helps put all of your measurements into context, making it easier to understand whether your goals should focus on building muscle, reducing body fat, or improving overall body composition.
